The association for Swiss hiking trails (Schweizer Wanderwege) and the Federal roads office (FEDRO) are jointly establishing a monitoring system for hiking in Switzerland. In the framewort of this monitoring, the use of hiking trails and the needs of hikers are periodically reviewed in order to expand and improve the network of Swiss hiking trails can be expanded and refined.
